One of the beautifully built German Panther tanks Stalingrad was the turning point of the war in the east.  Street fighting was common, and attrition spent the German army.  The German army would keep the Soviets on their toes until the battle of Kursk, but this was the turning point. A couple of rusty old Tiger tanks. The Germans already out-armoured and out-gunned any tank that the Allies had to offer, but they just didn't have enough ammunition or fuel to run them.  This is the Maus tank, and if the Germans would have developed more of them and a better engine to make it more mobile, it would have probably turned the tide of the war.

The Americans and Russians were rejoiceful when they finally met.  The scene would soon change when the iron curtain dropped on Europe, and the world. The second explosion over Nagasaki, along with the Soviet threat, pushed the Japanese to surrender. Erwin Rommel, also known as the Desert Fox, was the thorn in the British's side throughout the early 40's. Hanz Guderian was the father of the armoured idea in Germany.  His ideas brought him both praise and scrutiny.
